Dr Mohamed Ahmed Marouf

Dr Mohamed Ahmed Marouf is an internationally respected swimming coach, athlete, and educator with a distinguished career spanning Egypt and Canada. Holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physical Education from Egypt and a PhD in Physical Education (Aquatic Sports – Swimming/Open Water) from Canada, Dr Marouf combines academic expertise with elite athletic experience as a marathon and open-water swimmer representing Egypt.
Inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (Class of 2018) as an Honour Swimmer, he has made significant contributions both in and out of the water. Currently the Head Coach at Le Club de natation CALAC in La Salle, Quebec, and formerly Head Coach at the University & Swim Club Sherbrooke, he has also served as Assistant Coach for the national open-water teams of Egypt and Canada.
Dr Marouf’s coaching philosophy bridges pool and open-water disciplines, pioneering long-distance training formats in Quebec and championing the growth of open-water swimming in Egypt through clinics, team development, and grassroots programs.
